Hand Laced. Hand Beaded. Each pair of Bastien moccasins carries five decades of Indigenous craftsmanship and the living heritage of the Wendat people.
Bastien Industries was founded in 1972 by Roland Bastien in Wendake, a self-governing Huron-Wendat territory north of Québec City. Inspired by the legendary shoemaking expertise of Grand Chief Maurice Bastien, Roland set out to create products worthy of their heritage — and share them with the world.
In 1996, Roland's daughter Ginette Bastien took the reins, expanding the brand internationally through her iconic Hiawatha moccasin line and growing the workshop to serve customers across multiple countries.
Today, under the leadership of Jason Picard-Binet — a proud member of the Huron-Wendat Nation — Bastien Industries continues its legacy with over 225 handcrafted models, produced by skilled artisans who carry on the traditions of their ancestors with pride and passion.
"Our mission: to offer authentic, made-in-Canada Huron-Wendat products, crafted with the greatest respect of our traditions."
From moose hide classics to contemporary suede silhouettes — every Bastien moccasin is hand-laced, hand-beaded, and made with 100% genuine Canadian leather.
